J50/3 body prototype under test

Simon Martin is currently in the process of testing one of my prototype J50/3 bodies for me. This particular body has been designed to fit the latest Bachmann Pannier chassis and Simon is working up a set of photographic instructions to modify the chassis to suit and add the necessary detail to the body. It should be noted that the chassis is not strictly accurate for the J50; the wheels are a touch too large, have too many spokes and the rear wheels sit a little too far forward. Nevertheless, with a few quick and easy modifications it does look the part and it’s a quick way to get a J50 if you are not comfortable with chassis construction. I hope to have this version of the body available to purchase very soon from Shapeways.
